  • Now that you have a basic idea of the kinds of data you can collect, you need to know what to do with the data.
  • In this module, we will be wrangling and analyzing data.
  • We will use Excel and IBM Cognos Analytics, but there’s no limit to how far you can go! Feel free to use other data wrangling and analytics software if you have a preference.

Here are the two assignments for you.

  1. Discussion forum
    • Introduce everyone to your big data project.
    • Do an exercise on data wrangling.
  2. Big Data Project
    • Work on your own project!
    • Complete data wrangling in Excel or Numbers and upload it to Cognos Analytics.
    • Make sure you upload your dataset to Cognos Analytics before you start data wrangling to see how you want to format your data.
